Lunch: the most nutritious time of the day. Don’t forget good quality carbohydrates, lots of nutritious vegetables and of course well-chosen sources of protein! Eat chicken, beef, fish or even soya products – the key is to make sure you always have enough protein on your plate! There is an IMPORTANT role for protein in addition to exercise, which you have read about above.

For example, salmon, cod, perch and trout are recommended for blood group A. Chicken and turkey meat have a neutral effect, but beef, liver, duck meat and pork should be avoided as they have a negative effect on the diet.

With blood type 0, you can be a real “carnivore” on a diet, as beef, minced beef, game and lamb can help you lose weight. Salmon, cod and trout are also beneficial. Chicken and turkey have a neutral effect on zeros, so it’s safe to eat them too. However, it’s worth avoiding pork, goose meat and smoked salmon, as these can hold us back from shedding the pounds.

For blood type B, a fish diet is preferable, and even chicken can be a good choice. However, beef, pork, duck meat, veal and game meat should be avoided. Choose white fish, carp, salmon or trout, but avoid crustaceans, squid and shellfish.

If you have blood type AB, you should choose turkey meat over poultry if you want to lose weight. For this blood type, red meat is particularly fattening, not well digested and stored as fat by ABs (poisoning their intestinal tract). In addition to turkey, tofu and seafood will promote efficient metabolism in this blood group. Pike, salmon, mackerel, trout and sardines are particularly useful for our diet.

Snacks: for example, nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds) are recommended, they are full of fibre and have many other health benefits (preferably the unsalted variety). For a varied diet, choose a natural yoghurt with fruit on another day, make yourself a tuna salad or a vegetable dip.
